Russia Downs 53 Ukrainian Drones Amid Escalating Aerial Attacks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s air defense forces neutralized 53 Ukrainian drones over various regions, including Bryansk, Belgorod, Kaluga, and Kursk, during the past night, as reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The conflict in Ukraine has entered a new phase, with Kyiv and Moscow intensifying their drone and missile attacks against each other. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently claimed that a Russian jet drone directly targeted the office of Oleksandr Poklad, head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Kyiv. Ukrainian media, quoting Zelensky, emphasized that the Russian attack aimed at the SBU headquarters in the capital.
This development occurs as Russia’s military operations against Ukrainian security and military targets across the country intensify within the framework of the ongoing ‘special military operation.’ The stated objective of these strikes is to disrupt supply chains and critical infrastructure. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s economy has sustained severe damage and is described as being nearly completely paralyzed.
