Trump Claims US Controls Strait of Hormuz Amidst Assertions on Iran’s Military and Economic Woes
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Fox News that Iran is in a difficult situation and its missile capabilities have been largely destroyed. Trump, acknowledging the reality of battlefield setbacks, indicated that while Iran can still launch some missiles, the production of new ones has become challenging.
The US President further claimed that the United States has dismantled Iran’s nuclear capabilities, ensuring Tehran will never acquire nuclear weapons. He also asserted that Washington controls the Strait of Hormuz, citing an operation the previous night where 22 boats were removed from the waterway.
Trump continued his claims by stating that Iran’s inflation rate has reached 300 percent, with military and law enforcement personnel not receiving salaries. He posited that if Iran had obtained nuclear weapons, it would have used them against the Zionist regime, regional countries, and even American cities, which is why Washington deployed B-2 bombers to prevent Tehran from acquiring such weapons.
Additionally, Trump alleged that Iranians are seeking his removal, believing that Democrats would permit Iran to acquire nuclear weapons if they returned to power. These statements come at a time when Trump, after months of claiming to achieve his war objectives, is now speaking of ending the conflict after the US midterm elections.
Some observers believe that Trump, facing battlefield defeats, is attempting to conceal his failures and present a different narrative of the war by making grand claims about Iran’s destroyed capabilities and control over the Strait of Hormuz.
