California Braces for Worsening Wildfires Amid Dry Conditions and High Winds

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, officials in the United States have cautioned that arid weather patterns and gusty winds are poised to accelerate the expansion of forest fires in the northern California region of Mendocino. The U.S. Weather Service has declared a red flag warning, citing powerful winds and diminished air humidity.

The wildfire, known as the Lucas fire, ignited near the Lake and Mendocino areas on Thursday, engulfing a significant expanse of forest land. Evacuation orders were issued for several locales following the fire’s onset, with containment reaching only 15 percent by Saturday.

Concurrently, two additional blazes, dubbed the Timber and Blast fires, commenced in the Monterey region, collectively impacting over 55,000 acres.
