Putin: BRICS Economic Ties Built Free From Sanctions

Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that BRICS member nations are building economic relations independent of sanctions, highlighting the bloc’s significant role in fostering a multipolar world order. Trade volume among BRICS members has reached an estimated $1.2 trillion.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated during a BRICS Plus summit in India that trade turnover among the bloc’s member states has effectively reached $1.2 trillion. He affirmed that member countries are continuing to collaborate with international partners for comprehensive development.

Putin added that BRICS member nations possess the capability to establish their economic relations free from sanctions. He further asserted that BRICS serves as a driving force in advancing the process of strengthening a multipolar world in international relations, with member states actively participating in the formation of this more just and multipolar global landscape.

The Russian President also noted that global attention towards BRICS’ activities is on the rise. He highlighted that the group commands a significant 49% share of the global economy’s active engine, with its full potential yet to be realized.
