France: Europe Must Assume Security Responsibilities Independently from US
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated that Europe must take responsibility for its own security, a long-standing call from the United States, and that the time has come for the continent to assume this role independently.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced on Monday to Al Jazeera that the United States has explicitly informed Europe for years that it must take responsibility for its own security. Barrot added that the time has now arrived for Europe to assume responsibility for its security on the continent, which is precisely what is currently being undertaken.
