Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Arrives in Cairo for Talks with Egyptian President

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Cairo today for crucial discussions with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, focusing on regional tensions and bilateral ties. The visit underscores the strategic importance of cooperation between the two nations amidst current geopolitical challenges.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi sources have reported the arrival of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Cairo. He was officially welcomed by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The Crown Prince’s visit to Cairo on Tuesday is set to include meetings and dialogues with President el-Sisi to address several significant matters of mutual interest. Discussions are anticipated to cover the recent escalation of tensions in the region related to Iran, as well as the ongoing attacks by Ansar Allah on various Saudi cities.

The Egyptian Presidency, in an official statement confirming the visit, emphasized that the meeting will involve an exchange of views on the latest regional developments in light of current events. The leaders are also expected to explore avenues for strengthening the foundational relationship between the two countries and enhancing joint cooperation.

Concurrently with the commencement of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s trip to meet the Egyptian President, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement strongly condemning the attacks on different cities across Saudi Arabia. The Ministry reiterated its firm opposition to such aggressions, describing them as a clear violation of international law and a direct threat to regional stability and security.

Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “Such aggressions are a clear violation of the rules and regulations of international law and a manifest threat to regional stability and security.” The statement further warned that the continuation of these transgressions could lead to further exacerbation of tensions and an increase in their overall level within the region.

Cairo also affirmed its complete solidarity and unwavering support for Saudi Arabia against any threats, stressing that the national security of both countries is intrinsically linked, complementary, and inseparable.
