Russia Claims Ukraine Using Western Officials as Human Shields for Military Cargo

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, alleged that Ukraine is employing Western dignitaries as human shields to conceal military shipments, framing recent incident reports as part of a propaganda campaign to secure further military aid.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data published by Mehr News Agency, citing RT, reveals statements by Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Zakharova declared that purported reports of an attack on a train carrying Western officials are part of a propaganda campaign aimed at securing military assistance for Ukraine. She asserted that the Zelensky administration is utilizing high-ranking Western officials as human shields to cover its military cargo.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson further elaborated that the lifting of the ban on deploying nuclear weapons in NATO countries represents a step towards the uncontrolled proliferation of these weapons. She added that nuclear weapon positions threatening Russia in NATO member states will be a focal point of Russia’s strategic deterrence forces.

Zakharova urged Western European hardliners to seriously consider Russia’s warnings regarding the expansion of NATO’s nuclear arsenal with a realistic perspective. She accused European officials of attempting to bring nuclear weapons closer to Russia’s borders under the pretext of threats emanating from Russia.

It was recently announced that a passenger train carrying high-ranking European officials, including former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his senior advisors, was targeted by an attacking drone near the Polish border.

Ukraine’s state-owned railway company, Ukrzaliznytsia, reported that on Sunday, a Russian drone struck the locomotive of a passenger train approximately 2 kilometers from the Polish border.
