US House Democrat Vows to Block $2.8 Billion Bomb Sale to Israel

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, top Democrat Representative Gregory Meeks from New York has declared he will not approve a proposed $2.8 billion contract for the sale of bombs to Israel. Meeks, the ranking Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, cited concerns about the weaponry’s potential deployment in populated regions of Gaza and Lebanon.
The proposed deal reportedly includes 40,000 bombs, each weighing one thousand pounds. The Democratic representative emphasized that the proposed bomb contract raises significant concerns regarding the potential use of these weapons in the densely populated areas of the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
