US and South Korean Foreign Ministers Discuss Strategic Cooperation in Washington

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a meeting with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun in Washington. The discussions centered on continuing cooperation in strategic sectors, with a particular focus on the semiconductor industry.

The U.S. Department of State announced that during the meeting, both ministers underscored the importance of collaboration to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the necessity of maintaining secure supply chains for vital industries.

Furthermore, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to the complete denuclearization of North Korea.

Concluding the talks, the ministers highlighted the significance of trilateral cooperation among the United States, Japan, and South Korea to preserve regional security and to advance the objective of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
