US Representative Claims Trump Open to Peace Talks and Deal with Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by the Mehr News Agency citing Al Jazeera, Mike Waltz, a US representative, claimed that President Donald Trump is ready for discussions with Iran and to reach a peace agreement.

Waltz stated, “President Trump has kept the doors open for Iran to return to the negotiation table and achieve a peace agreement.”

He added that Iranians must come to the negotiation table with good faith and speak on behalf of the Supreme Leader of Iran during the talks.

Waltz had previously claimed that “the doors of negotiation are open” and that Iran could return to the negotiation table to end the conflict. He also described reports suggesting Tehran had put forth the lifting of US sanctions and the receipt of reparations as conditions for returning to negotiations as “imaginary.”

This assertion comes despite historical evidence showing that the US has not only failed to adhere to negotiation tables, engaging in military aggression during their execution, but has also demonstrated a lack of commitment to agreed-upon terms, easily withdrawing from any deal once reached.
