Iraq Loses 60% of Oil Revenue Due to War, Prime Minister States

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani has stated in an interview with The New York Times that the country has lost 60% of its monthly oil revenues following the war.

Al Sudani further elaborated on a plan to consolidate weapons, which will commence with a 90-day period. During this timeframe, armed groups are expected not to attack American forces, nor will they be targeted by U.S. strikes. The Prime Minister emphasized that any armed groups continuing their activities after this grace period will be considered outside the law.

The Iraqi Prime Minister indicated that armed groups will begin the process of handing over their weapons, a procedure that is slated to conclude by June 30, 2027.
