Israel’s Defense Minister Threatens Gaza Evacuation Over Hostage Plot

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Tuesday threatened that Gaza City would be “evacuated” if Israeli citizens or soldiers are abducted.

Speaking at a military ceremony marking Yom Kippur, Gallant claimed Israel possesses information indicating Hamas is planning to abduct Israelis, framing these allegations to justify past and future actions by the regime.

Addressing Hamas and its alleged supporters, including Iran and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Gallant stated, “If even one Israeli soldier or civilian is abducted, the entire population of one million residents of Gaza City will be moved south.”

The Israeli Defense Minister further asserted that this is the “language that jihadist organizations in Gaza and Lebanon understand,” and that Israel speaks this language.
