Trump Asserts Ample US Ammunition Reserves Amidst Claims of Shortages
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday dismissed reports concerning a reduction in the nation’s ammunition reserves, claiming that America has ample ammunition and is in the process of increasing its stockpiles.
Trump wrote on the social media platform ‘Truth Social’: “The cowards and traitors like to say America is low on ammunition. That is not true.”
He asserted: “We have more ammunition than you can think of, and now we are increasing our reserves at a level that has never been seen before.”
These statements come amidst previous reports detailing the strain on U.S. ammunition reserves and interceptor systems during the conflict against Iran. While the Pentagon has denied these reports, an Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Defense has indicated certain strategic shortages in reserves and constraints on production and replenishment capacity for ammunition.
