Syrian Interim Government Head Claims Sanctions Easing After Caesar Act Repeal

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Abu Mohammad al-Julani, the head of Syria‘s interim transitional government, announced during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly that Syria has embarked on a path of improvement and revival. He indicated that weapons have been confiscated, the army has been unified, and Syria is united from north to south, with sanctions having been lifted. Al-Julani further stated that the government is moving towards establishing partnerships from a foundation of strong sovereignty.

He added that the process of transitional justice has commenced in Syria. Al-Julani asserted that the dark clouds of sanctions have dispersed with the repeal of the Caesar Act and the removal of Syria’s name from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
