Golan’s Jab at Trump: ‘Why Not Give New Jersey to Israelis?’
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, the self-proclaimed president of Syria, discussed a past conversation with Donald Trump during a meeting in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly sessions.
He emphasized that during his meeting with Trump at the White House, while discussing the Zionist regime’s sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, he jokingly told the US president: “Why don’t you give New Jersey to the Israelis? You do not own the Golan to give it to the Israelis, but you own New Jersey.”
Jolani added: “Given that New Jersey is full of Democrats and they do not vote for Trump, it would be good to give it to the Israelis.”
He stated: “Jokes aside, the Syrian Golan Heights belong to the people of this country; therefore, neither the presidents of Syria or America nor any other person can give it away or relinquish it to others.”
