Kremlin Affirms Readiness for Peaceful Ukraine Resolution Amid EU Asset Revenue Transfer Condemnation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia is prepared to achieve a peaceful solution in Ukraine, with Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov emphasizing the nation’s consistent stance. Peskov described the European Union’s transfer of 8 billion euros from frozen Russian asset revenues to Ukraine as an illegal action. He further stated that the “terrorist campaign” against Russia, orchestrated by Western countries through Ukraine, has failed. Peskov noted that voter turnout for the Russian Duma elections exceeded 56 percent shortly before the announcement, with voting still ongoing.

In related developments, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed on Wednesday that Russia is ready for negotiations aimed at achieving lasting and just peace in Ukraine. He concurrently stressed that Russia will not halt its military operations regardless of the format of negotiations.

Separately, Kirill Dmitriev, spokesperson for the Russian President’s Special Envoy for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and head of the Moscow Direct Investment Fund, denied reports of any trilateral meeting between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine in New York. Dmitriev dismissed these reports as fake, asserting that no such trilateral meeting has been planned or will occur.
