France to Deploy Troops, Air Defense to Saudi Arabia for Facility Protection

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, France is preparing to send troops, radar systems, and air defense units to Saudi Arabia in a move aimed at protecting the Kingdom’s Yanbu oil facilities. President Emmanuel Macron stated that this deployment is specifically for the purpose of safeguarding these installations and does not signify participation in any conflict or war.

The announcement follows recent claims by Yemeni armed forces of missile and drone attacks targeting the Aramco oil company in Yanbu. Macron’s administration has underscored that the French mission will be purely defensive in nature, focused on the security of critical infrastructure.
