Iraq in Talks with U.S. to Resume Iranian Flights

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Baghdad is currently in discussions with the United States concerning the resumption of Iranian flights. The Iraqi Prime Ministry’s press office announced in a statement that negotiations are underway with the U.S. to exempt some Iraqi airports from the restrictions imposed on Iranian airlines.

The statement from the Iraqi Prime Ministry’s press office indicated that reducing these limitations for Iranian airlines would enable the resumption of flights to address humanitarian needs. Previously, the Iraqi government’s decision to halt Iranian flights had drawn significant criticism from various political factions within the country, including the Nujaba movement.
