Iranian Armed Forces Among World’s Most Advanced, Says Defense Spokesperson

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sardar Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, stated in a special news interview that the nation’s military has achieved a significant level of self-sufficiency and advancement. He recalled the period of the imposed war (Iran-Iraq War), noting that during that time, even sutures for treating wounded soldiers were not sold to Iran by other nations. Shekarchi highlighted that the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the post-revolutionary era, has progressed from depending on foreign sources for items like sutures and barbed wire to domestically producing its daily defense requirements. He further asserted that Iran has not only competed with its adversaries but has also surpassed them in various aspects.
