Maritime Authority Warns Vessels Using Irregular Strait of Hormuz Routes

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Persian Gulf Shipping Authority (PGSA) has issued a warning to vessels traversing irregular routes within the Strait of Hormuz. The authority stated that it has received reports indicating that certain charterers are pressuring vessels to utilize unapproved transit paths.

Such actions not only pose a significant risk of financial and personal harm to the vessel, its owner, captain, and crew, but also severely restrict the vessel’s future passage through the Strait of Hormuz. Shipowners are urged to exercise due diligence regarding these unlawful actions by some charterers.

Furthermore, if charterers are found to be in violation, their companies will be added to the Non-Compliant List (NCL), and all vessels associated with them will face restrictions in passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
