Commercial Ship Targeted by Projectile in Strait of Hormuz
A commercial vessel sustained damage from an unidentified projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, with no casualties reported. The incident has prompted an investigation into the attack.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by the Mehr News Agency citing Al Jazeera, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported an attack on a ship involving an unknown projectile.
The UKMTO stated that the vessel was struck while navigating the Strait of Hormuz during the previous night.
The organization noted that a fire broke out on the vessel but was subsequently contained. The ship has continued its voyage without any loss of life.
