Qatar Reports Ongoing Washington-Tehran Negotiations, Efforts to Bridge Gaps
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Majid Al-Ansari, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, stated that negotiations between Washington and Tehran are ongoing. “We are working to bridge the gap between the two countries,” Al-Ansari said, adding that “efforts are currently focused on creating common ground between the American and Iranian sides.”
The Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson emphasized the importance of respecting regional infrastructure facilities, noting that any threats against them constitute a violation of international law. He confirmed that meetings are continuing and Qatar is actively involved in relaying messages between the American and Iranian parties.
Al-Ansari further stated that Qatar’s mediation efforts persist, and Doha remains committed to peaceful solutions exclusively. He also issued a warning regarding developments in the West Bank, specifically concerning attempts to impose a situation that contradicts international agreements and the Oslo Accords.
He underscored the necessity of intensified efforts to halt the aggressions of the Israeli regime in the West Bank and Jerusalem. Al-Ansari concluded by observing repeated attempts by the Netanyahu cabinet to undermine efforts aimed at establishing a ceasefire in Gaza.
