Cuba Accuses US of Lying to Justify Aggressive Policies

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez emphasized that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio once again attempted to justify his country’s actions by leveling accusations against Cuba. Rodríguez added that this policy was rejected by dozens of leaders and officials from participating countries at the United Nations General Assembly sessions.

Rodríguez stated that Rubio presented a specific list of falsehoods to justify the policy of collective punishment against the Cuban people, identifying him as a prominent figure of aggressive, detested, and isolated policy. He asserted that the continuation of this policy is not based on truth or logic, but solely on force and intimidation.

Last night, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio claimed that his country hopes Cuba will “take a different path.” He then warned that those who believe they can wait for the end of Donald Trump’s presidency will “learn a hard lesson” if they do not change their approach.

These interventionist remarks by the U.S. Secretary of State regarding Havana come as the Trump administration had previously announced its objective was to change the government in Cuba.
