Maritime Incident Reported Near Oman, Tanker Warned by Iran

A maritime incident has been reported approximately 11 nautical miles north of Khaseb in Oman, with a tanker reportedly receiving a warning from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a maritime incident has occurred near Oman, as reported by Mehr News Agency citing Al Jazeera. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced earlier that it had received a report regarding a maritime incident.
The organization reported the maritime incident occurring 11 nautical miles north of Khaseb in the Sultanate of Oman. According to the report, a tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz was warned by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to turn back or face being targeted. The tanker complied with the IRGC’s directive to not proceed through the Strait of Hormuz.
