Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Sudani Claims Three Armed Groups Have Handed Over Weapons

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Sudani announced that three out of five armed groups in the country have officially surrendered their weapons as part of ongoing government negotiations. The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to protecting Iraqi lives and national integrity.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Sudani has claimed that three of the five armed groups operating within the country have successfully handed over their weaponry as per an agreement. This development is part of the Iraqi government’s ongoing dialogue with various armed factions.

Al-Sudani further stated that the Iraqi government is continuing its negotiations with the remaining armed groups. He stressed that safeguarding the lives of Iraqis is a primary responsibility of the government and that no entity will be permitted to undermine the nation’s stability.

Previously, a spokesperson for the Iraqi Islamic Resistance had commented on the withdrawal of the US-led coalition from Iraq, asserting that the resistance’s arms would remain in the hands of its fighters.
