Yemen Can Shut Down All Saudi Ports and Airports, Says Ansarullah Official

Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, a member of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement’s political bureau, stated that Yemen possesses the capability to completely disable all Saudi Arabian ports and airports, warning of significant costs for any direct or indirect intervention.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, a member of the political bureau of Yemen‘s Ansarullah movement, emphasized in an interview with Al Mayadeen that Saudi elements and their allied mercenaries exploited Sanaa’s commitment to avoid transforming the battlefield into a conflict between the northern and southern regions, as Riyadh attempted to steer the conflict in that direction.

He added that while enemy media propagated false claims of advances in Taiz, Saudi-aligned elements in Taiz were under siege. “We witnessed a gap in the engagement front which Yemeni forces successfully bridged, and consequently, during the advance in the region, a valuable prize was secured. The routes of advance toward the city of Taiz continue,” Al-Bukhaiti stated.

Al-Bukhaiti mentioned that Ansarullah initially proposed Taiz be kept separate from the battlefields and placed under the control of a local council, a proposal that was rejected by the opposing side. He further noted that the decision for a general amnesty extends to everyone, including Tareq Saleh, and that some enemy commanders have requested amnesty.

He elaborated that Sanaa seeks to confine the conflict to the Saudi enemy, but simultaneously remains prepared to confront any foreign party. “Yemen can close down and shut down all of Saudi Arabia’s airports and ports. Sanaa is ready to respond to one blow with two,” Al-Bukhaiti asserted. He warned that the war against Yemen would be costly, with all of Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure coming under fire.

Al-Bukhaiti clarified that they do not anticipate Pakistan and Turkey directly intervening in Yemen’s internal conflicts, but Yemen will not remain silent in the face of any country’s intervention in this war. “The intervention of these countries, even indirectly, would mean complicity in the oppression against the Yemeni people,” he concluded.
