Israeli Military Faces Severe Equipment Shortages After Three Years of Conflict

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Hebrew-language website Walla reported that three years of war have exposed severe shortages of military equipment within the Israeli army. Consequently, security institutions within the regime have decided to transfer a portion of the military equipment production process to civilian companies.
Amir Baram, Director General of the Israeli Ministry of War, and Nadav Loton, Commander of the Ground Forces, have resolved to conduct part of the production operations outside the management structure of Merkava tank production. This move aims to accelerate the manufacturing of Merkava tanks and ‘Tiger’ armored personnel carriers.
Walla stated that this decision follows comprehensive reviews conducted after the war. These assessments revealed that after three years of conflict, dozens of Merkava tanks in the Israeli army are without engines, and many damaged tanks have gone unrepaired due to a scarcity of spare parts.
The Hebrew-language outlet attributed the current situation to import challenges and a lack of parts in the global market.
