Pakistan Denies Involvement in Yemen Attacks Amidst Reports

Pakistan has officially denied claims of its fighter jets participating in attacks on targets within Yemen, refuting reports citing a senior Pakistani military official. The Pakistani Ministry of Information issued a statement to clarify the nation’s position.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan has categorically denied reports suggesting its involvement in attacks on Yemen. The Ministry of Information of Pakistan has refuted claims that Pakistani fighter jets participated in strikes against targets in Yemen, as published by Al Mayadeen and reported by Mehr News Agency.

Earlier, The New York Times, quoting a senior Pakistani military official, had reported that Pakistan had secretly joined the war led by Saudi Arabia against the Houthi movement in Yemen. This senior official had claimed that Pakistani fighter jets had conducted aerial attacks on the positions of Yemeni armed forces as part of its military participation alongside Saudi Arabia.

Separately, the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs had previously stated that his country does not deploy any forces within the framework of the ‘Mecca Agreement’ to attack other countries, emphasizing that the agreement has a defensive nature.
