Yemeni Forces Seize Strategic Heights Overlooking Taiz City

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Yemeni armed forces announced the liberation of the strategic Al-Habashi heights in Taiz province following intense clashes with Saudi-backed forces. This region commands an overlook of Taiz city and holds significant importance for securing the West Coast and the city of Mokha.

Al-Mayadeen news network reported on Friday that clashes between Yemeni armed forces and Saudi-aligned forces continue around Taiz city. According to the network’s correspondent, control over the Al-Habashi heights could pave the way for Yemeni forces to enter Taiz city. Concurrently with ongoing ground battles, Saudi airstrikes on Sana’a and other Yemeni provinces have also continued.

Earlier, the Al-Mayadeen correspondent had emphasized that following severe clashes, mercenaries affiliated with Saudi Arabia were expelled from the Jebel Al-Habashi region in Taiz.

He added that the areas under the control of Yemeni armed forces now exceed 2,000 square kilometers. These areas are in addition to the territory controlled by Yemeni forces along the West Coast, from Mokha to Dhubab and Bab al-Mandab, spanning 5,000 kilometers.
