Pakistan President Declares Emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province

Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has declared a state of emergency in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a move that effectively suspends the provincial government’s operations. The province is currently under the control of the party led by former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s President Asif Ali Zardari announced on Sunday that a state of emergency has been declared in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, located in the country’s northwest. This declaration, issued by the Pakistani President’s office, effectively suspends the local provincial government from its activities.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is currently under the administration of the party of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is presently incarcerated.
