Yemen Accuses Saudi Arabia of Targeting Civilian Vehicles Amidst Taiz Road Blockades

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a report from Al-Masirah, citing data published by Mehr News Agency, states that Omar Al-Bukhaity, the spokesperson for the Yemeni government, has issued a warning regarding the ongoing blockage of main roads in Taiz province. He declared that forces affiliated with Saudi Arabia have impeded the movement of citizens and the transportation of food, medicine, and other essential items by closing access routes and targeting civilian vehicles.
Al-Bukhaity emphasized that all main roads leading to and from the city of Taiz are open and secured, placing the responsibility for the disruption of citizen traffic on Saudi-affiliated forces. He pointed to the reported closure of 19 vital routes and passages in Taiz province by Saudi mercenaries, cautioning about the continuation of these actions and their humanitarian consequences for the city’s residents.
The Yemeni government spokesperson further announced that civilian vehicles on transit routes are being subjected to aerial and artillery attacks, actions that threaten the safety of civilians and the transfer of basic goods. He concluded by warning against any adventurous military actions in the densely populated city of Taiz, calling for an avoidance of escalating conflicts, prioritization of public interests, and the prevention of bloodshed.
