Hamas Reports Over 1,400 Palestinian Deaths, Thousands of Ceasefire Violations by Israel

One year after the Gaza ceasefire, Hamas has reported that Israel has extensively violated the agreement, resulting in 1,488 Palestinian fatalities and thousands of breaches of the terms.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas has released a report detailing widespread Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which marks nearly one year since its implementation. The report, citing data published by the Mehr News Agency from the Hamas information portal, indicates that over the past 364 days, the Israeli regime has broadly contravened the accord’s provisions.

The ceasefire agreement encompassed several key points: a cessation of military operations in the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces withdrawing to a distance of 700 meters from the border, an exchange of prisoners between Hamas and the Israeli regime, the reopening of the Rafah crossing for passenger traffic in both directions, the return of displaced persons to their residential areas, the daily entry of 550 trucks carrying humanitarian aid, the daily arrival of 50 trucks of fuel and gas, and the commencement of reconstruction projects in Gaza.

Statistical data released by Hamas indicates that as a direct consequence of the Israeli regime’s ceasefire violations, 1,488 Palestinians have been killed and 5,280 have been injured. Furthermore, 203 Palestinians were detained during this period.

The report documented 2,293 instances of gunfire, 2,293 bombings and targeting of various areas, and 2,293 incursions by Israeli military vehicles into the ‘yellow line.’ Additionally, 511 incidents of home demolition and explosions were recorded.

Regarding the entry of trucks, Hamas stated that according to the agreement’s terms, 100,100 trucks carrying aid should have entered Gaza. However, only 35,810 trucks, representing 35.7 percent of the stipulated amount, entered the region.

In the domain of fuel, out of a total of 18,200 trucks that were supposed to enter Gaza under the agreement, only 2,815 trucks, or 15.4 percent, were permitted entry.

Moreover, of the projected 100,100 commercial trucks, only 36,230 trucks, constituting 36.1 percent, entered the Gaza Strip.

The report also highlighted restrictions imposed at the Rafah land crossing. According to the agreement, 150 passengers were to leave Gaza daily, which should have amounted to 54,600 individuals over 364 days. In reality, only 7,215 individuals managed to exit the Gaza Strip.

Similarly, 50 Palestinians were scheduled to return to Gaza daily, totaling 18,200 people. However, only 6,797 individuals were permitted to return. In addition to these figures, the Israeli regime prevented the travel of 91 Palestinians, turning them back at the crossing.

Hamas, in releasing these statistics, emphasized that the Israeli regime’s performance over the past year demonstrates extensive violations of commitments related to the ceasefire, the entry of humanitarian aid, transit through the Rafah crossing, and the withdrawal of military forces in the Gaza Strip.
