Pompeo: US Failed to Achieve Deterrence Against Iran

Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated that retaliatory attacks by Yemeni forces against Saudi Arabia indicate that the United States has not achieved its objectives in the conflict against Iran.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo declared during a conference in Abu Dhabi focused on the future of West Asia that retaliatory attacks by the Yemeni army and fighters against Saudi Arabia demonstrate that the United States has not achieved its goals in the war against Iran.

Pompeo, who served as Secretary of State and Director of the CIA during the first term of President Trump, commented, “Together, we did not achieve deterrence.”

It is noteworthy that Iran was subjected to illegal American-Zionist aggression twice during indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington. This event proved to the world that the United States was never seeking consultation.
