UN Criticizes Israeli Obstruction of Peacekeepers in Southern Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Nations has acknowledged that the Israeli military has obstructed the activities of UN peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon and continues its transgressions in various aspects. The spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric, confirmed that UNIFIL forces have been investigating Israeli airstrikes on the eastern and western sectors of southern Lebanon from Friday to Sunday, with reports of heavy artillery and mortar fire also being recorded.
Dujarric further detailed that Israeli soldiers have blocked a support convoy for UN forces near the Al-Biyada area, preventing the delivery of essential aid to other units. The establishment of these impediments on various routes has led to the cancellation of UNIFIL patrols, Dujarric stated. He emphasized that these forces must be able to carry out their mission in southern Lebanon with complete security.
