Israeli Forces Abduct Four Syrian Citizens in Quneitra

Israeli occupation forces have detained four Syrian citizens at a checkpoint in the northern Quneitra countryside as they were returning from olive harvest fields. This incident follows repeated Israeli incursions into Syria, which have resulted in numerous casualties.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli occupation forces have abducted four Syrian citizens. The incident occurred at a checkpoint located on the road between Khan Arnabeh and Ofania in the northern Quneitra countryside. Local sources indicate that the four Syrians were apprehended by Israeli soldiers while returning from their farms during the olive harvest season.

This development comes as Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Sheibani previously highlighted that Israeli forces have conducted over a thousand incursions into Syria in less than two years, leading to the deaths of dozens of individuals. Reports suggest that the Israeli regime has escalated its attacks since the collapse of the previous Syrian government, with recent airstrikes targeting areas of the capital, Damascus, under the pretext of protecting Druze communities.

Furthermore, since the fall of the Bashar Al-Assad government, Israeli military forces have consistently breached the demarcation line between the occupied Golan Heights and Syrian territory, extending their occupation of areas within the Daraa and Quneitra provinces surrounding the Golan.

In related statements, Al-Julani previously addressed the UN General Assembly, asserting that Israel has aggressively violated Syrian sovereignty through approximately 500 aerial and artillery attacks, along with over 1,200 ground incursions. He reiterated that the Golan Heights remains Syrian territory and rejected Israel’s attempts to impose a policy of fait accompli on the Golan Heights.
