Explosions Heard in Riyadh and Flight Suspensions Reported in Eastern Saudi Arabia

Several explosions have reportedly rattled the Saudi capital of Riyadh, coinciding with flight suspensions at King Fahd International Airport in the country’s eastern region amid heightened security alerts.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, media outlets citing Al Masirah network reported that multiple explosions were heard in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, reports emerged regarding potential security threats in Riyadh following the activation of warning sirens across the areas of Al Ahsa, Dhahran, and Abqaiq.

In a related development, flight tracking platform Flightradar24 reported earlier that operations at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, located in eastern Saudi Arabia, had been temporarily suspended.

According to data from the tracking service, aircraft were left circling in the airspace above Dammam, unable to land at King Fahd Airport.

Previously, Yemeni armed forces had claimed responsibility for multiple attacks on this airport in response to Saudi military actions targeting various regions, particularly non-residential areas.
