As a result of this earthquake, 53 thousand 537 people died and 107 thousand 213 people were injured.
On 17th of Bahman 1401 (February 2023), two earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.8 occurred in 10 provinces. Hero of Marash, Ghazi Antep, Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Adana, Adiaman, Osmaniye, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya and Elazig took place. This incident caused more than 100 billion dollars in material damage to Turkey.
