In a report about the deepening of the political crisis surrounding US President Joe Biden, the Washington Post said that a number of other Democrats in the House of Representatives have asked the president to step down.

According to Al-Mayadin report, this newspaper announced that 4 senior Democrats of the House of Representatives announced yesterday Sunday during an informal call with the leadership of the Democratic Party in the House of Representatives that Biden should resign from his position. 

Representatives Jerry Nadler (New York), Adam Smith (Washington), Mark Takano (California) and Joseph Morrell (D-New York) are the ones who publicly asked Biden to step down, according to two people in the crowd. to withdraw, because they believe that he will lose to Donald Trump, the former president of the United States and the Republican candidate for the presidential election.

Additionally, at least 18 current and former top Democrats had publicly raised concerns as of Saturday about Biden’s fitness and ability to defeat Trump as he heads into a crucial week.

Biden enters a week that could decide the fate of his campaign as he prepares to host a NATO summit in Washington. Over the past few days, Biden and his staff have been more insistent that he not withdraw.

In this regard, a few days ago, the President of the United States announced that he will remain in the presidential candidacy until the end. “Let me say it out loud, nobody is going to take me out of this race,” he said, according to the Associated Press. 

This issue is stated after the disastrous debate that took place between Biden and Trump a few days ago, in which Biden’s performance was described as weak. In the debate between Trump and Biden, the current American president frequently stuttered and stopped, and did not express his thoughts clearly.
