European Union sanctions against five Israeli individuals and three entities 

The European Union has sanctioned Israeli settlers for violating the rights of Palestinians in the West Bank.

On Monday, the European Union sanctioned five individuals and three institutions in Israel, who were involved in “serious and systematic violations of human rights against Palestinians in the West Bank” amid the conflict between Israel and Hamas in the region.

According to the statement, the sanctions include the Association of Israeli Settlers in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, the violent activists Tzav 9, which is responsible for preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, as well as Baruch Marzel and his extremist organization Lehava, which is for It propagates the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians.

Earlier, the British government announced that it has sanctioned extremist Zionist individuals and groups due to violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.

After the sanctions imposed by the United States against four Zionist settlements, the European Union considered the imposition of sanctions against the extremist settlers who committed continuous attacks against Palestinian citizens in the West Bank.

The constitution of the European Union specified that such a decision is subject to the unanimous agreement of the foreign ministers of the European Union countries. Earlier, European countries including France, Germany, Ireland, Belgium, Malta and Spain announced their support for imposing sanctions against the settlers.
