The collision of a train with a truck in Russia left a number of injured.
According to Reuters news agency, local sources announced today (Monday) that at least 140 people were injured after a train with 800 passengers collided with a truck in southern Russia. During this incident, 8 train cars derailed.
The train driver tried to brake after seeing a truck that entered the tracks illegally, but eventually this accident happened. This train was traveling from Kazan to Tatarstan and from there to Ader in the Black Sea. This train collided with this truck at a speed of 65 km/h.
Local authorities say that 140 passengers were injured in this incident, most of them were superficial and contused. However, 15 passengers, including 3 children, were taken to the hospital due to the severity of their injuries.
The driver of this truck was thrown after the train hit and is now in a serious physical condition. Local authorities announced the beginning of an investigation into the incident.
