New wave of protests in Bangladesh/ 50 people were killed

Following the continuation of these unrest, the government of Bangladesh has once again imposed a curfew and the internet has been cut off throughout the country.

It is said that in the Uttara district of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, police officers used tear gas to disperse hundreds of people who blocked an important intersection.

Eyewitnesses also reported that during the unrest in Munshiganj city, 2 construction workers were killed by a bomb explosion and 30 others were injured.

Student protests in Bangladesh began in early July 2024.
