The ministers of the Zionist regime are strongly opposed to the temporary ceasefire with Lebanon’s Hezbollah
reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Russia Elium, despite the aggression of the Zionist regime and the massive killings it has unleashed in Lebanon, the cabinet ministers of this regime expressed their opposition to announced a temporary ceasefire in Lebanon and the cessation of this regime’s attacks, and claimed that military strikes against Hezbollah should “achieve complete victory” to continue.
Yair Lapid, the head of the Zionist regime’s opposition movement, published a message on the “X” social network and wrote: “The Israeli government should accept Biden’s cease-fire proposal this morning. to announce Macron, but only for 7 days, to prevent the rebuilding of Hezbollah’s command and control systems. We will not accept any proposal that does not include the expulsion of Hezbollah from our northern borders
He also added: “Any proposal presented must allow the residents of the North to return to their homes immediately and safely, and lead to the resumption of negotiations on the hostage deal.” Any violation of the ceasefire, even a small one, will cause Israel to attack Lebanon again with all its might.”
Betzleil Smotrich, the finance minister of the Zionist regime, announced in a statement: “The battle in the north must end with one of two scenarios (or the destruction of Hezbollah and depriving it of its ability to threaten the inhabitants of the north, or to continue the war) should not give the enemy time to recover from the heavy blows he has received or to prepare for the continuation of the war. Surrendering to Hezbollah or war is the only way to restore security to the residents of the north and Israel.”
On the other hand, Orit Strock, the Zionist regime also said: “There is no moral license for a ceasefire; Not for 21 days and not even for 21 hours. Hezbollah has turned Lebanon into a gunpowder barrel and Security Council Resolution 1701 has turned the residents of the north into hostages and refugees in their own land. We will not repeat the mistakes of the past and we will not stop until the situation is corrected.”
Utsama Judaism party headed by Itmar Ben Gower, Minister of Internal Security of the Zionist regime, announced in a short statement: Following the reports about the negotiations for a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah, the Utsama Judaism faction will hold an urgent meeting in the coming hours.”
Miki Zohar, the minister of culture and sports of the Zionist regime from the Likud party, said: “The ceasefire without receiving any tangible points from Hezbollah is a big mistake that has great achievements. Israel’s military has been endangering in recent days. I hope that these reports are false and we must continue until we achieve complete victory in the north.”
On the other hand, Gideon Sa’er, a member of the Knesset of the Zionist regime, said: “Reducing the intensity of Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon in recent days and avoiding targeting Hezbollah’s capabilities in Beirut, like what happened in South Lebanon and the Bekaa, are wrong.”
He added: “It is necessary to continue and evolve the operation to destroy the main capabilities of Hezbollah, which are a threat to the depth of Israel.” Stopping this operation will give Hezbollah time to take measures that will make it more difficult to carry out this mission in the future.”
Zeif Elkin, a member of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, said: “If the reports about the 21-day temporary ceasefire agreement are true, this is a huge mistake by is Israel This gives Hezbollah a chance to recover from the blows it received and reorganize its ranks for the battle.”
He added: Israel’s demand in Lebanon should be clear: no temporary ceasefire, only a permanent halt unrelated to the ongoing war in Gaza, and the removal of Hezbollah from beyond the Litani River. As long as Hezbollah does not agree to these conditions, it should take advantage of its weakness and increase military pressure and operate with all its forces in Lebanon. We cannot defeat the terrorist organizations without hesitation and we cannot return the residents of the north to their homes safely!”
