For the first time, the Irish authorities agreed to appoint an ambassador from Palestine in this country.
report Mehr News Agency quoted Al Jazeera, on Tuesday, the country of Ireland agreed for the first time to appoint a Palestinian ambassador in this country.
Government sources announced that Jilan Wahba Abdul Majeed, who currently heads the Palestinian delegation in Ireland, will take over this new post.
Ireland recognized the state of Palestine last May along with several other European countries. Palestine also announced last October that it plans to increase the level of its diplomatic relations with Ireland from delegation to embassy, and now it has chosen an ambassador for itself in this country.
