German annual inflation reached its highest level

German annual inflation reached its highest level in four months in November.

reported by Mehr News Agency, according to the published preliminary data, the annual inflation rate in Germany in November reached the highest level in the last four months, i.e. 2.2%.

This figure accelerated from 2 percent in October, but was lower than the market expectation of 2.3 percent.

The price of energy continued its annual decrease at a slower pace; This was 3.7 percent in November, compared to 5.5 percent in October.

On the other hand, food inflation decreased to 1.8 percent from 2.3 percent in the previous month. Core inflation, excluding volatile food and energy prices, reached a six-month high of three percent in November.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.2 percent in November, reversing a 0.4 percent gain in October and in line with market forecasts.
