Lazzarini: Gaza children are dying from the cold
The Commissioner General of UNRWA warned about the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by “Palestine Elium” news site, Philip Lazzarini, Commissioner General of the Relief and Business Development Agency for Palestinian refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) warned: Gaza children are freezing and dying due to the cold and lack of shelter.
He said: Blankets and other essential winter items have been waiting for approval to enter the Gaza Strip for months.
Lazzarini added: A ceasefire should be established in Gaza immediately to allow the entry of essential aid. .
He said: The need to respond to the winter needs in Gaza has become more urgent.
