Yemeni Media Reports Death Toll from US Airstrike on African Migrant Center Rises to 68
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Masirah, Yemen’s Civil Defense Authority announced on Monday that the death toll from early morning US airstrikes on an African migrant shelter center in Saada Governorate, Yemen, has risen to 68.
The report states that 47 others were injured, and due to the critical condition of some victims, the number of fatalities may further increase.
US fighter jets targeted areas in Saada, Amran, and Sanaa governorates late last night and early this morning. Yemen’s Interior Ministry condemned the attacks as a war crime,holding the US responsible for the killing of civilians.
