America once again threatened China with economic sanctions
U.S. National Security Council Declares It Will Not Tolerate China’s “Unfair” Trade Practices
The U.S. National Security Council warned today that it will not remain silent in the face of what Washington deems “unfair” trade actions by China, according to a report by Bloomberg, cited by Mehr News Agency and covered by webangah News Agency.
The council stated: “Washington will never tolerate China’s fentanyl trafficking and unfair trade practices.”
Since Donald Trump’s presidency, the U.S. government has engaged in a tense trade war with china. Currently, American tariffs on Chinese imports total 145%, while Beijing has retaliated by imposing 125% duties on U.S. goods.
The U.S. accuses China of exploiting free trade and smuggling drugs like fentanyl into its territory, using these allegations to justify further tariffs on Chinese imports.
