according to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and India Today, Muhammad Khalid Jamali, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia, stated that a nuclear war could erupt following the attack on a group of tourists in Indian-controlled Kashmir.
Jamali warned that if India attacks Pakistan,Islamabad will respond with its full military might. He emphasized that Pakistan would not engage in a conventional arms race with India but would utilize all its capabilities—both conventional and nuclear.”The armed forces of Pakistan, backed by the people, will retaliate with full force,” he added.
The April 22 attack at the Pahalgam tourist resort in Indian-administered Kashmir killed 26 people, most of whom were tourists. India has blamed its neighboring country for the assault, but Islamabad denies any involvement. However, Pakistan has proposed an impartial inquiry supervised by a third party to examine the incident’s details.
Following the attack and escalating tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, their already strained relations have worsened further. Both sides have taken retaliatory measures, including canceling treaties, closing airspace, and conducting aerial and naval drills against each other.
