Moscow’s Main airport Shut Down as Ukraine’s Drone Attack on Russian Capital Thwarted
According to teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, announced on Monday morning that one of the city’s main airports was temporarily closed following a Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian capital.
He added that Russian air defense units successfully intercepted four Ukrainian drones heading toward Moscow.
The Russian federal Air Transport Agency also confirmed that flights at Domodedovo Airport, one of Moscow’s key airports, were temporarily suspended.
On Sunday, russia’s Defense Ministry stated in a release that Ukrainian drones had been shot down over multiple regions of the country. According to the ministry’s statement,13 Ukrainian drones were destroyed over various Russian territories.
The ministry reported that Russia’s air defense systems had eliminated the 13 drones over the regions of Rostov, Belgorod, and Bryansk.
