Chinese President Says China and Russia Are Working Together Against Hegemony for a Fairer Global Order
According to the English section of Webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Russia’s TASS,Xi Jinping,the Chinese President visiting Russia,emphasized upon arrival in Moscow that Beijing and Moscow—as two major global powers and permanent members of the UN Security Council—firmly defend the achievements of victory in World War II and an international system based on law.
The Chinese President stated that his country opposes all forms of hegemony and power politics, adding: “China and Russia stand together in supporting a rules-based global order with the United Nations at its core.”
China’s CCTV also quoted Xi as saying: “the two countries are striving to promote a more rational and equitable global system.”
