Chinese President Says China ​and‌ Russia Are Working Together Against Hegemony for‍ a Fairer Global Order

According to the English section of Webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Russia’s TASS,Xi ⁢Jinping,the ​Chinese President visiting ⁣Russia,emphasized upon arrival in Moscow that ​Beijing and Moscow—as two major global ⁣powers⁣ and permanent members of the UN Security Council—firmly defend the achievements ‍of victory in World⁣ War II and an international system based on law.

The Chinese President stated that his country opposes all ⁣forms of hegemony and power politics, adding: ⁣ “China and Russia stand together in supporting a rules-based global‌ order⁢ with the United Nations⁤ at its core.”

China’s CCTV also quoted Xi as saying: “the two countries are striving to promote a‍ more rational and equitable global system.”
